IBCS-PRIMAX signs contract with Bantel to implement their ICX Billing Solution

Bantel Ltd., a recent winner of Interconnection Exchange (ICX) Services license signed an agreement with IBCS-PRIMAX Software (Bangladesh) Ltd. to develop and implement their ICX Billing System. The ICX Billing Solution includes Mediation, Rating and Billing, Alert system, Payment System and Reporting modules.


To liberalize and legalize VoIP, the government formulated "International Long Distance Telecommunication Services (ILDTS) Policy 2007" and as such Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has made it mandatory since June 2008 to flow all the local and international calls via ICX/IGW/IIG to ensure revenue share for the Bangladesh government. BTRC has issued International Gateway (IGW), Interconnection Exchange (ICX) and International Internet Gateway (IIG) Licenses through open auctions and earlier on April 12, 2012, twenty six ICX, twenty seven IGW, and thirty six IIG licenses were awarded to various operators.
S. Kabir Ahmed, Managing Director of IBCS-PRIMAX stated during the contract signing ceremony that  IBCS-PRIMAX developed the ICX and IGW billing solution for the Bangladesh market as per the rules defined by BTRC. IBCS-PRIMAX is till date the only CMMI Level 3 and ISO 9001:2008 certified company in Bangladesh that has developed a fully functional ICX Billing Solution.
Scope of work includes consultancy service on ICX billing rules, CDR mediation service from Binary to ASCII, rating solution based on BTRC rules for ICX, generation of required invoice, money collection history maintenance, managed service, and guidance on necessary hardware requirement for running the billing application.
